Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Renew Pediatric Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not currently bill insurance. We understand that insurance coverage is important to many families, and we are actively working to become credentialed with insurance companies.
Our first priority is becoming in-network with the insurance providers used by our current families so we can continue serving them with greater accessibility. Credentialing is a lengthy process that varies by insurance company, but we are making steady progress and will share updates as we become in-network with additional plans.
In the meantime, we can provide a superbill upon request that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn about your out-of-network speech therapy benefits.
If you have questions about payment options or the credentialing process, we'd be happy to help.
How much does each session cost?
Session fees vary depending on the type of service provided, including evaluations, treatment sessions, articulation therapy, language therapy, AAC services, and the length of each visit.
For more detailed information about the services we offer, please visit our Services & Mission page. If you have questions about pricing or would like to discuss which service is the best fit for your child, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help you understand your options and provide current fee information.
Why choose private-pay speech therapy?
Private-pay services allow us to provide care that is centered on your child—not insurance requirements. Rather than following restrictions set by an insurance company, we can make clinical decisions based on what your child truly needs.
Some of the benefits of private-pay therapy include:
-
No referral or insurance authorization required – Families can get started sooner without waiting for approvals.
-
Therapy tailored to your child – Session frequency, length, and goals are based on your child's individual needs and progress.
-
Greater flexibility – We can adjust treatment plans as your child grows and their needs change.
-
No insurance limitations – Insurance companies often determine which services are covered, how long therapy can continue, or how frequently visits are approved. Private pay allows recommendations to be made solely by your speech-language pathologist.
-
Care in natural environments – We offer therapy in our clinic, your home, or your child's daycare, helping skills carry over into everyday routines.
Our goal is to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy that helps children become confident communicators while making the therapy experience as convenient and family-centered as possible.
Can I sit in on sessions?
Absolutely! Parent and caregiver involvement is one of the most important factors in a child's success, and we encourage you to participate in therapy sessions whenever possible.
At Renew Pediatric Therapy, we believe that meaningful progress happens when therapy extends beyond the clinic. By observing and participating in sessions, you'll learn the strategies, techniques, and activities we use so you can confidently support your child's communication development at home and in everyday routines.
Our goal is not only to help your child build communication skills, but also to empower you with the knowledge and tools to reinforce those skills between sessions. Working together as a team helps create consistency, encourages faster progress, and gives your child the best opportunity to thrive.
Do you provide home proramming materials?
Yes! When appropriate, individualized home practice materials and strategies are provided to help reinforce the skills your child is learning during therapy sessions.
We believe that progress is greatest when families are actively involved. Home programming is designed to be practical, engaging, and easy to incorporate into your family's daily routines. Depending on your child's goals, this may include activities, games, visual supports, practice words, language strategies, or AAC recommendations.
Will my child need an evaluation?
In most cases, yes. A comprehensive speech and language evaluation is the first step in understanding your child's unique communication strengths and areas of need. The evaluation allows us to gather information through standardized assessments, observations, parent interviews, and play-based interactions to develop an individualized treatment plan.
If your child has had a recent evaluation completed by another qualified speech-language pathologist, we may be able to use those results, depending on how current and comprehensive the evaluation is. We'll review the information with you to determine whether additional testing is needed before beginning therapy.
Our goal is to ensure that every child receives personalized recommendations and a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific communication needs while partnering with families every step of the way.
Do you provide in home services?
Yes! Renew Pediatric Therapy is pleased to offer in-home therapy services for families located within approximately 10 minutes of our clinic at no additional travel charge. For families outside of this service area, a modest travel fee may be applied to account for additional travel time. When appropriate and with the facility's approval, therapy services can also be provided at your child's daycare or preschool, allowing us to support communication development in a familiar, natural environment.
Providing therapy in a child's natural environment can offer unique opportunities to practice communication skills during everyday routines and activities. If you're interested in in-home or daycare-based services, we'd be happy to discuss whether this option is the best fit for your child and family.
